Lys Anzia is an emerging new poet with over 3,000 poems written over the last 20 years.. She has been published in Poetism... and in The World Magazine... Currently her play, JACKS, is being considered for commision by the Royal Court Theatre in London.

Richard Arnold is originally from Alabama, but now lives on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where I teach English and Environmental Lit at a small university called Malaspina, in the city of Nanaimo. I've published poetry and reviews in numerous places, such as Art:Mag, Terrain.org, The Trumpeter (trumpeter.athabascau.ca), Tower (towerpoetry.icomm.ca), Snowy Egret, Wind Magazine, and Barbaric Yawp. I have published two collections of poetry: a chapbook entitled "Fuse" (Leaf Press, B.C., 2002) and a haiku pamphlet "Shoes Lost Long Ago" (Island Scholastic Press, B.C., 2003).

James Blessington’s first novel, Losing Teeth Like Horsepower was completed last summer. As he seeks representation for the book, he is busy writing his second novel. He holds a B.A. from Ottawa University and has participated in writers workshops at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of Iowa. He lives just outside of Milwaukee with his wife Heather and two children, Gracie and Sid.

Barbara Daniels' chapbook, The Woman Who Tries to Believe, won the Quentin R. Howard Prize and was published by Wind Publications. Her poems have appeared in The Massachusetts Review, Many Mountains Moving, The Cortland Review and other journals. She received an Individual Artist Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

Duane Locke, Doctor of Philosophy in English Renaissance literature, Professor Emeritus of the Humanities, was Poet in Residence at the University of Tampa for over 20 years. Has had over 2,000 of his own poems published in over 500 print magazines such as American Poetry Review, Nation, Literary Quarterly, Black Moon, and Bitter Oleander. Is author of 14 print books of poems, the latest print book is WATCHING WISTERIA ( to order write Vida Publishing, P.O. Box 12665, Lake, Park, FL. 33405-0665, or Amazon or Barnes and Noble). Since September 1999, he became a cyber poet and started submitting on-line, and since September 1999 he has added to his over 2,000 print acceptances with 2,748 acceptances by e zines. 252 more to reach having over 5,000 poems published.

Rodney Nelson's poems and narratives have been in and out of print for years. Of late they have found a new home in the ezines, e.g., Big Bridge and Taint. Nelson, a hiker and lifelong nonacademic, is exploring central Idaho at the moment.

Jeff Shaw is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in The Nation, The Progressive, In These Times, Z Magazine, Native Americas and numerous other publications. In addition to poetry, he practices independent journalism focusing on indigenous issues, the environment and foreign policy from a progressive perspective. He is at work on his first book.

Sheila Squillante's poems have appeared in such journals as Prairie Schooner, Quarterly West, Clackamas Literary Review, Connecticut Review and online at The Pedestal Magazine. She teaches English at Penn State.

Brian Stumbaugh is an aspiring writer who teaches high school English in
Voorheesville, New York, a suburb of Albany. He received a Master's
Degree in English from The College of Saint Rose, and has been writing
for ten years. He lives in Latham, New York with his wife, two
daughters, dog, two cats, and guinea pig, which may not provide lots of
time to write, but does give a wealth of experience to draw on.
