People on either side of the road
curl from side to side
like slow kelp growing in a coastal current.
The white pearls easier around your neck
than my soft kisses.
My eyes reflect neon signs that swim in streaks
down the puddled street
as yours float up to mine
looking to learn
how quick lives can split and divide into another.
